When sisters Brendie and Shari, the “Barnes Sisters,” stepped into the role of caring for their father, a dedicated doctor, they experienced the emotional, physical, and everyday challenges that so many families face while supporting an aging loved one. Their journey inspired them to create Aging Well, a place built on compassion, understanding, and a genuine commitment to helping others navigate the caregiving experience with confidence and grace.

With a caring team of registered nurses, nutrition specialists, brain-health experts, coaches, and wellness practitioners, we provide personalized support that helps individuals age with confidence and families feel truly supported. Guided by empathy and real life experience, Well by Barnes is committed to nurturing dignity, independence, and a better quality of life, for those receiving care and for the loved ones who walk alongside them.

Getting started is easy! Just click the "Book Appointment" link to schedule your initial appointment. If you're unsure, you can use the same link to book a 15-minute discovery call to learn more about Aging Well and see if it's the right fit for you.
Our experts will guide you in developing the most effective plan to meet your personal goals. Our mission is to provide you with best practices for achieving your goals and improving your quality of life.
No, Aging Well complements your regular healthcare providers. If your healthcare team recommends weight loss, new medications, or lifestyle changes, we will help you implement a plan using the most effective, evidence-based methods.
Aging Well starts by having you complete a needs assessment, followed by an initial visit where we gather more information. Together, we will create a plan to address your concerns, potentially focusing on one at a time based on your needs.
You can set up regular check-in visits every three months or connect with us when your health or needs change. If it has been more than six months, we will conduct another initial visit to gather updated health information.
Yes, you can get started, and we will assist you in finding a Primary Care Physician or Nurse Practitioner to support your ongoing health.
We will help you choose the best health expert support based on your individual needs. You will have full control over your plan, selecting the best expertise and deciding what to work on first. While we recommend working with one expert at a time, sometimes having two can be beneficial.
You can reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance—simple as that!
Unfortunately, you will be charged the full amount for the missed appointment. We need to compensate for the lost appointment slot that could have been given to someone else.
Your expert consultant will create a plan tailored to your needs. Each visit will focus on achieving your goals and supporting you in developing a long-term plan you can follow independently.
Each of you will need an initial assessment to understand how we can support you both effectively. A virtual functional exercise class with a friend is a great way to stay connected and maintain your health.
We will meet with you and, if needed, your parent, spouse, or partner to assess your needs. We will help you understand how your benefits (Medicare, etc.) can be used and guide you in making decisions for the next steps.
